Germs, germs, go away…

Blech. Yet another weekend ruined due to this damn stomach bug that has apparently been going around. :ouch: I had some variation of it this past Thursday…luckily it only lasted for about 24 hours or so, but man did it suck. I was in bed and couldn’t keep anything down except for water…I guess I could’ve taken some kind of medicine for it, but what would be the point? It wouldn’t have stayed down anyway.
Then last night, Josh and Dylan both came down with it. Josh got into bed at like 3pm yesterday afternoon and didn’t get back up until this morning. Poor Dylan though…he was fine until around midnight. He had vomited during the night in his bed and came running to our room. Some of my regular readers probably remember something like this happening before. Something similar happened to him about a month ago. Yeah…if you really care to know then read up on that post, I’m not going to dredge up any of the disgusting details. :ew: It was basically the same situation.
Needless to say, none of us really got any sleep last night. Seems like as soon as Dylan would fall back to sleep, he’d throw up again. It was awful. He finally got to sleep and stayed asleep at round 4am. He seems better today though, and I’m thankful for that. He and his daddy are both napping right now. Hopefully, it will do them both some good. Any kind of stomach sickness is the worst kind of sickness, IMO. :dead:
Yesterday though, we somehow managed to go grocery shopping. Josh and I came to an agreement on this: isn’t it only logical that we would cut our chances of getting sick practically in half if we would all just eat a little better? Ya know, boost our immune systems and what not? Would it really kill us to get a few more fruits and veggies in our diets? Seems like we’ve been so busy lately that we’ve been splurging on fast food and junk all the while thinking we’re better off because we save a little time and effort. The reality of it is, we’ve been lazing around the house doing nothing because we feel like crap, and in turn we’ve both gained some weight. :frown: Who wants that? Yes, I’m a little upset about it, but there’s nothing to do about it now except suck it up and make changes. So we bought a few ‘healthy’ snacks to help get us back on the right track. :) Maybe our stomachs wouldn’t be so fucked all the time if we ingested a vegetable or two every now and then. It’s such common knowledge, but so many of us these days just don’t grasp it until we get sick or something else bad happens. Ah well, that’s all about to change because since it’s that time of year, I’ve been craving fruits and juicy melons (teehee…juicy melons ) like crazy!! :)

I know how that feels. couple months ago my mother got sick with a stomach bug and was throwing up non stop, a day later my father got it like at 12 am, and I got it a hour later! It was so crazy and unreal. I never ever threw up like that before, i was throwing up almost every hour. Yuck! Matthew didnt get sick, lucky him! I hope you feel better!!!!
Sorry to hear about you and your family being sick, I hope you all feel better soon. It’s good that you’ve decided to start eating more fruit and vegies, you will find that you have more energy and will just feel alot better all round. :cute:
Aw, hopefully the guys will feel better soon.
I hate stomach viruses, too, but for some reason I hate having a cold even more. Usually, when I have a stomach virus or something to that affect my body really needs sleep (apparently) so I will just sleep for two days straight and it’ll be alright. I’m sorry it’s not like that for Dylan and he even had to throw up. :frown:
And you’re absolutely right, everybody knows how important it is to eat fruit and vegetables and you know, so do I! But do I actually change my diet around a bit? No, because of stupid reasons like no time or being absoltely exhausted when I get home. It’s a shame. Good for you though, that you got some healthy snacks!
Oh that sucks about all the stomach bugs going around. Thankfully it was only a 24-hour type of bug. I hope it stays away. That can be so stressful. Eating better definitely helps you stay healthier. So does taking a multivitamin. I have such a weak immune system and that has really helped me lately.
Ahh, the lovely stomach bug. My mom had it last week, then passed it to my brothers, who passed it to me. I then passed it to Dan. Amazingly, the kids were fine! But yeah… not fun. :/
We’ve been eating SO much healthier for the past eight months. It’s really worth it. :)
Ugh, that stomach bug was the bane of my existence for awhile. Either I had it or Joey did, it would rotate back and forth between us.
I’ve been eating healthier and I can definitely see a huge improvement in my health. Goodluck to you guys with it! :)
Eww stomach bugs suck. I’m sorry that your boys have that. I hope they get better soon. Eating more fruits and veggies should help out a little bit with building up everyone’s immune system. Or maybe you could have some teas or herbal remedies?
I’m glad the stomach bug is gone! I can just imagine how you must’ve felt.
