Our Memorial Day festivities

I finally have some time to sit down and blog! :lol: Josh and Dylan are both napping at the moment, so yeah. :)
Yesterday, we went over to visit Josh’s dad and step-mom for a little Memorial Day get together/barbecue thingy. COMPLETE with plenty of water balloons and several bad-ass games of badminton. It was really a blast. Josh’s step-mom’s other grandson was there (he’s a year older than Dylan) and I have never seen two little boys play so well together in all my life. They were out and about allllll day long playing in the little kiddie pool and with little water guns. :heart: By the end of the day, they were both sooo exhausted. And they started to get on each other’s nerves, :lol: What else could you expect from two little children with poor communication skills and no naps? :rofl:
Josh soaked me with a water balloon. Threw one right in my lap. It seriously felt (and looked like I had pissed myself. Now I know how it feels for the little ones, haha. :ew: That’s okay though, as my mother likes to say from time to time, “pay backs are a bitch. Remember that.” Everyone ended up ganging up on him by the end of the day, and he got soaked as well. Ha. Ha. Serves him right. :P
After it got dark, everyone wandered inside to play sunny side up. It would’ve been more fun for me if I had been drinking, BUUUUT I was the DD. So yeah. It was still fun to watch everyone else around get stupid drunk though. We had several good laughs.
Also, it was my niece’s birthday yesterday. :heart: :D She turned two.

We didn’t do anything today, but yesterday we went to my grandma’s house to eat. I was about 1/1millionth at fun as your days seems to have been :lol:
Aw I’m glad you had a great Memorial Day weekend. BBQs are so fun. That is hilarious about the payback Josh got, hehe. I love water balloon fights, but only when I’m expecting them. I didn’t do much. Went to the movies twice and ate outside with my family. Had a tiny BBQ with just ourselves. :)
Sounds like you had a great time. Water balloon fights can be nice, but mostly when it’s warm outside and you’re in on it. We don’t have memorial day where I live, but I don’t have school right now anyway, so that’s nice.
Our memorial day was uneventful, except for the dreaded church talk. :dead: Glad you had a good time though!
Man I haven’t had a water balloon fight in YEARS! Maybe I should make one up one of these days :). I didnt do anything for Memorial Day because I’m a bad American.. I didnt even know it was Memorial Day! :lol:

I didnt really do anything, besides visiting my brother and sister in law on saturday. Your layout shop is looking great!
