I’m a regular working girl

12:03 pm · Posted in Uncategorized

I got a job! The restaurant where my mother and my sister-in-law work had an opening for a cook on Friday nights, Saturday mornings, and Tuesdays. I start next friday, and I’m so excited! I’ve never had a job before, and I hope this will give me some good work experience for the future. So, 3 days a week isn’t bad - and I’m still not giving up my life at home with Dylan. I really want to make it a point to stay home with him until he starts school - I don’t want to have a full time job right now for that reason, so it seems like this will work out perfectly. I can only hope that it goes smoothly, and that I can do a good job. Wish me luck? Please? :)

Our financial situation is really looking up. With me having a part-time job now (hopefully it works out! *crosses fingers*) I’ll be contributing anywhere from $75 to $100 every week, which would help out a lot TREMEMDOUSLY. I intend to stick a portion of that money back every week in order to start a little ‘cushion’, if you will, to fall back on when times get tough - like they have been this past week. I also intend to keep doing PPP whenever I can as well (but don’t worry, I’ve already submitted another blog to PPP so if it gets accepted soon the majority of sponsored posts will be done there). :D All in all, the future is looking brighter already, and I’m so excited about starting work - I already have butterflies in my stomach. I know, what is this, the first day of school or something?! :P I can be such a weirdo.

GAH! It needs to rain here so bad. My vegetable garden is looking pretty sad…my tomatoes are getting all dry and shriveled up. :( The forecast has been calling for thunderstorms for the past couple of days now, but I’ve yet to see a single drop. I’m ready for a good, dark, windy thunderstorm. I really enjoy them somtimes (as long as there’s no damage to anything!) I went out there yesterday and picked a handful of green beans to have for dinner. Although they looked pretty puny when I picked them (due to no rain - God, I demand you turn on the faucets!) they cooked up so nice and tender. I sauteed them in oil with a little salt, pepper, and sesame seeds - DELICIOUS! :yum: I even got Dylan to try a few bites of them. Point - Mommy.

Well, all this talk about food has made me hungry, and coincidentally, it’s lunch time! Ciao!

Prosper learning

12:02 pm · Posted in Uncategorized

No matter how difficult things get in our lives, something that all of us yearn for deep down inside is happiness. Happiness can come in many different ways, such as less stress, minimal financial worry, and being able to live a comfortable lifestyle. There are many ways to achieve this - you just have to know how to go about it.

Prosper learning is a program that helps out the most ordinary people with the tools and coaches that they need to have financial independence and more comfortable, stress-free lives. It gives the people incentive to do better for themselves, and instill hope in them that things will finally be looking up.

One thing in particular about the video that I found interesting was the fact that it is a simple, straight-forward approach to teaching about prosper learning. It’s a relatively short video, with not a whole lot of bells and whistles to dress it up. Just the facts. I was impressed by the instructor’s tone, and the way that he expressed the care they he and the rest of the coaches of prosper learning have for the average person looking to better themselves. It seems like a genuine way for people to better themselves.
