Well, I made the phone call to my mom today that I’ve dreaded for two days. The outcome: not all that bad! It actually went way better than I expected. Now, I can take a looooong collective sigh of relief. :P Our problems aren’t as bad now as they were, but enough about that.
I need to call Wal-Mart in a minute and order Dylan’s birthday cake! His birthday is next tuesday and it has really snuck up on me this year. It’s just hard for me to believe sometimes that he’s practically 3 years old already. He’s getting so big, and he’s so smart. My mom and I had a conversation the other day about him going to pre-school next year. PRE-SCHOOL! I mean, it seems like just yesterday he was a little bundle wrapped up in blankets in my arms - all innocent and helpless. Now, he’s really grown into one handsome, smart little boy, and I can’t help but get sentimental about it sometimes. :( I’ll probably end up taking 1,000 or so pictures of his cake alone, haha. He’s really into Spongebob at the moment, so that’s who will be on the cake. Expect pictures. Lots of them.
So, is anyone going to be watching SYTYCD tonight? Josh and I have watched every episode since season two, haha. I really love the dancing, and everyone on that show has more talent in their whole bodies then I have in a single pinky toe. Very entertaining, to say the least - much more than American Idol, BUUUUUT that’s a post for another day. :)
All of us, at some point in our lives, have to borrow money from someone or somewhere. These days, it seems as though money just doesn’t get stretched very far, and it’s very easy to dig yourself a financial hole that’s very difficult to get out of. Honestly, my family is in a similar situation right now, as I’m typing this.
Cash advance loans are almost always an option, but sometimes it’s hard to deal with the payments and the interest that goes along with the loan. If you’re lucky (like us) you can usually fall back on your parent(s) or relatives if and when you need help with money. It’s never pleasant when things get that bad though, that’s why I feel that society as a whole should try to stick back and save as much money as possible in case of an emergency, or as a cushion to fall back on when times get tough - as they inevitably will with the economy continuing to be in the toilet.
Thriftyscot.co.uk is a website that focuses on no-nonsense financial advice - advice that most of us desperately need in order to keep our heads above water. There is a section on this site dedicated to different types of loans, and which one would be right for you if a financial crisis struck. Among those loans are secured loans (meaning that you put up some form of collateral - also if you have bad credit) and personal loans. They have very descriptive information about each one (and others as well) that could really help clear up any questions someone could have about them.
No one should ever be ashamed to go somewhere to ask for help when needed - be it your own family, or a company that specializes in loans. This website is a wonderful tool for those who need a loan and are unsure about what needs to be done in order to obtain one.
