It’s getting ridiculous

Normally, I don’t pay attention to the craptastic, poorly animated advertisement banners that flood virtually every popular website on the internet, but upon logging on to Myspace, I see this little piece of work:

I find this astounding. There’s Britney, captured in some still frames of her oh-so-infamous 2007 VMA performance. It’s amazing to me how, not only did she perform at the VMA’s a few weeks ago, but she also managed to juggle her baby at the same time, and bounce him around her head. I mean, how could you not notice?
Okay, enough sarcasm. No, I don’t in any way condone Britney’s actions (not that I even really care), and yes, she has really made a mess of her life, and her children are unfortunately suffering from it. That said, I think it’s pathetic the lengths advertisers will go to in order to make you click their ads. Come on…by clicking this ‘ad’, I’ll magically win 2 iPod Nanos? For free? You don’t say! Does anybody even fall for that same old bait and switch routine anymore? I would’ve thought that the hopes of ever winning anything from clicking an online advertisement died back in the 90’s…early 2000, tops. Along with Britney’s career. Funny, I may find this ad annoying and repulsive, but here I am blogging about it, showing everyone that it does indeed get some kind of attention. To money-hungry, greedy advertisers though, all publicity is good publicity.
In case you haven’t already noticed, today has been a pretty bad day. The first day of my period is always the worst…mood swings, irritability, headaches, cramps…you name it, it happens to me on this day. I cried earlier because I was so upset about Dylan spending the night with his grandparents. A few minutes later, we were laughing and playing in the living room. Strange, I know…
Ugh. I worked a double shift yesterday, so that is also playing a part in my bitch fest. It’s the first double I’ve ever worked, and it kicked my ass. By the end of the night, I was basically limping to the car. Everything from the waist down just…ached and throbbed. Hips, thighs, knees, ankles, feet…everything was just burning and aching - with good reason. I’d been on my feet all day long with barely any time to sit down. Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to rush home and get into the medication. Am I really going to have to work doubles every week? Looks that way, at least until someone else can get hired on. I’ll get used to it, I suppose.

:) LOL
I almost fell over laughing at that! :lmao:
I hate those ads. It’s not like you actually win anything anyways.
LOL people who fall for those ads are crazy
That is a real disgusting ad, ew. Ugh i get so moody as well when I have my period, I think I cry over anything that rich does when it’s that time, haha! Double shifts are the worse, haven’t done one for a while though, thank christ.
Honestly, I don’t pay attention to it any more, there’s always some dumb story/issue revolving around her, and I’ve been all Britneyed out.
I used to like britney alot now she’s a huge dissapointment plus she’s psycho lol. :omg:
I hate those ads. They piss me off.
LOL that ad made me laugh.
Gah I really wanted Britney to make a clean comeback…now she’s just more screwed up than ever *sigh*. I did download her new album though hahaha, I actually like it. It’s pretty decent for being gone from making music for like 2 years LOL.
Ick I’m sorry about your period. Eat some chocolate, get a heating pad, and just relax…that always helps
Lol, that’s what marketing is all about :)
I hope you feel better soon, first days of period does suck…
I don’t condone her poor decision-making skills and choices, but… the media should really stop harassing her. The woman’s mental health is clearly deteriorating. A little bit compassion.
I wonder why the govt haven’t banned annoying ads like that.
I was disgusted by that ad.
She is a bad mom in the eyes of the media because we see what we have done in her… That probably made no sense but oh well. When I first saw that ad I figured they didn’t know how to use photoshop & needed some classes.
