What a long day

Well, I’ve been M.I.A for quite some time now, huh? I’m bad about doing that from time to time - we all need to take a break every once in a while.
I’ve been working like crazy, and today was no exception. Since it’s now hunting season around here (oh joy, how I love to see people gutting and skinning deer in their front yards…yeah, we obviously live in redneckville), the breakfast rush is insane. Old, dirty men romp through the restaurant in the early morning demanding coffee, biscuits, country ham, bacon, sausage…you name it, giving each other a re-cap of the exhausting morning hunt. It really gets old fast. Needless to say, for the fast few weeks I’ve been working at least five days per week, not leaving me much time or energy for anything else. Josh got transferred to another store in our area, and he’s now an assistant manager - yay for him!
We took Dylan trick-or-treating on Halloween, but unfortunately during all the chaos I forgot to take my camera with me, and didn’t get any pictures of him. We had to convince him that if he wore his costume he could go out and get candy - I don’t think he would’ve worn it otherwise. Sometimes children can be so difficult!
Anyhoo, I just wanted to blog and let everyone know that I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth! It’s getting late, so I’m going to call it a night. Goodnight!

Gah, hunting season! I hate the sight and I hate the… the SMELL of it. You probably know the smell that I am talking of; the smell of warm animal cut open. It’s not a rotten smell, just bad.
Aw Kristie, the new theme is so awesome! Seriously, your themes are ALWAYS a surprise because they are so different from each other. I absolutely adore the colors of this one, it’s so in tone with fall and everything. Mmmh, love it. Hehe. I also really like the picture of you - is that a new one? You look so pretty and your hair looks gorgeous. :)
I remember my first hunting experience (not actually ACTIVELY hunting but just seeing a couple of family friends coming back from the hunt in the early morning, their trucks loaded with cut open deer)… In fact, I might go ahead and blog about it because I also have a not-so-yumy picture to share from my time in Kentucky.
And YAY FOR REDNECKVILLE, haha. There’s nothing wrong with it, really. *shrugs* :D
Loving the new theme. :) It’s so autumn-y with an awesome splash of aqua. Very nicely done. :)
I’d wear like… six costumes if it meant that I get candy. ;) That kind of bribery can work wonders, haha!
This new theme is awesome!! Man I love your themes so much. Oh, and I missed you so much… welcome back! Sorry things have been so insane for you.
