I welcome the silence

The house is warm, I have candles burning, there’s a slight drizzle of rain coming down outside, and both the child and the manchild are sound asleep. Ahh…these serene moments come few and far between, so when one arises, I take advantage of it!

I’m sitting here at the computer, wrapped up in an afghan and sipping apple cider. I feel like such an old lady - instead of blogging, I guess I should be knitting or something? Haha. Today is just one of those days for me when all I want to do is snuggle under a blanket with a good book and relax. Josh’s snoring in the background is really tempting me to go lie down with him…so scratch the book for now. As soon as I’m done with this, I feel a nap coming on.

Earlier this morning I was browsing the web archive, and I struggled to think of the names of all my old websites so that I could search for them and see what was there - just for shits and giggles. Luckily, after failing to get the spelling right the first dozen times (remember - back several years ago, all of the uber-kewlie trendy bloggers tyyped lyke d1s and spelled their website names in the same fashion. I was no exception to this), I struck website gold. I’m not about to post the archived URL of my so-called ‘blog’ from 2002-2003, because I’m afraid I may die of embarrassment…not to mention all of the neon colors, microscopic fonts, iFrames, and image maps might just cause involuntary heart palpitations and/or brain damage to any of you that view it. So, for safety’s sake, let’s not go there.

However, I will share with all of you a few excerpts from various posts I made in this ‘blog’ all those years ago, just because it’s so hilariously sad. When I read over it again today, I couldn’t get over how incredibly angsty-14-year-old-emo-ish I sounded in it. Hope you’re all ready for some major LULZ.

Guys really suck balls. Big ones.
I don’t understand why ex boyfriends are such jackasses. No matter what happens in any kind of relationship, when you break up, they’ll take everything you’ve ever said and ever done and hold it against you. I just don’t understand that, so to make it simple and easy, guys suck.

I still have to fix all those fucking subpages. HTML really gets on my nerves, especially when it doesn’t work right. I’m getting really tired of freeloading off of geocities, it sucks. It would be really cool if I was hosted, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon…so fuck you all with your bought domains and shit loads of space, just fuck you. I’ll get mine one day! :D Heh…

I am currently reading “A Tale of Two Cities” for my English class. I have to read 201 pages by tomorrow, so I wonder what I’m doing sitting here on the computer? Ah well, I’ll do it later. (Sense some procrastination taking place? Hehe.) Well I felt like bitching a lot today (PMS is a bitch…wish I had a gun…or at least a bottle of Ibuprophen) Hence the birth of a new page - “Rants” Weeee! Well, that’s all for tonight kiddies.

*sigh* School starts back tomorrow. :( You just don’t understand how bad I don’t want to go back…*cries* Oh well I’ll get over it. I have a tanning bed appointment @ noon today! Weee! I get to lay in the cancer box! lol I have to be tanned for nationals in less than 2 weeks…:| eeek! Less than 2 weeks! Wish me luck - we need it.

Yeah. I know…it’s funny, isn’t it? I was so surprised that I found anything about it, considering it was a geocities site, with hardly any visitors. But somehow, the information sniffing abilities of the intarwebz has amazed me, once again. So, if you’ve ever had a site in the past, I would suggest going and trying to search for it and see what comes up. If nothing else, you can probably get a good laugh out of it. In fact, feel free to share any funny or astounding bits and pieces from your past blogs here in the comments, so that I’m not the only one that looks like a complete douchebag. :D
