I’m such a Dum-Dum fiend

Wow. It’s December 1st already?! It’s definitely time to blog then! Blogging on the first of the month is…well, it’s just my thing. The rest of the days in between, however, are a different story entirely. ;)
Tomorrow is Sunday, and since Josh and I both have the day off, we’ll probably tackle the huge jumbled mess of Christmas lights and attempt to put up our Christmas tree. We usually don’t put it up this early, but I’m just in the mood to get things around here looking all Christmas-y. It all really depends on my mood tomorrow though, because I’ve been working so much lately, and frankly, I’m ready for a break. I’m ready to just take a day to sit around in my pajamas on my fat ass all day and watch a good movie or two. Or three. Or ten. Either way, I’m ready for it - bring it on.
I have a terrible burn on the middle knuckle of my middle finger. I burnt it last Saturday in the toaster at work. I can’t believe how hot that thing gets…I barely grazed my knuckle across the top of it while quickly snatching out some toast, and it has hardly healed at all. What an awful place to have a burn anyway…every time I bend my finger, the wound cracks and eventually bleeds. And it’s not like I can just stop using that finger to give it time to heal. It’s also a painfully awkward place to put a Band-Aid. The most I can do for it, I guess, is slather it in Neosporin and pray that it doesn’t get infected. I’ll just have to deal with it for now, I suppose.
Does anyone remember eating Dum-Dum’s as children? Dylan got an entire bag of them from my mom and dad today, and he’s been force-feeding them to me ever since we’ve been home, haha. I made the mistake of simply asking him if I could have one Dum-Dum. He, being the sweet, charming little guy that he is, proceeded to bring me shit loads of them, insisting that I eat them. I admit, they are delicious! I haven’t had one in years. *Counts sucker sticks* I’m now working on number four! Is it sad that I view this as an accomplishment?
In other news, the lovely lady Caitlin tagged me for a desktop meme (click for larger image).
I tag: Katharina, Cassie, Lindsey, Jessica, and Sarra. I never know who does and doesn’t do these things, so don’t feel obligated or anything.
BTW, huge huge huge CONGRATS to Jenn! She recently gave birth to a beautiful little boy named Matthew. I wish them all the best!

Oh, gosh, Dum-Dum’s! I still love to eat them, especially the blue raspberry. Now you’ve got me wanting one. Some of the new flavors they have are kind of gross, though.
Because the burn is in a bad place for a bandaid, maybe you could use some gauze and tape it?
Happy December! :)
I have never heard of Dum-Dum’s, haha. But it seems like I should try them as soon as I get a chance. ;) How sweet of Dylan to share with you, hehe. All the kids I know are all spoilt and annoying and would never share candy AT ALL.
I absolutely love your desktop, it’s so peaceful and even though it’s at night and winter it has such a warm feel to it! Love it. Mine’s all grey and fangirl-ish. But you’ll see once I upload it. Thanks for tagging me, by the way!
That burn on your middle finger sounds really painful! I’ve never had a burn that actually bled or could have been called a wound in its true sense. I hope it gets better soon and doesn’t get infected.
I’ll head on over to Jenn’s page now and leave her a comment. I don’t know her at all but I saw the topic over at Lavish yesterday and I can’t wait to read about the birth; I hope everything went smooth. :) With all these moms and moms-to-be around blogging about their kids - it has me all itchy for a baby of my own. Haha. But no. Geez, talk about a wrong reason to have a baby, LOL. “But everybody has one!” ;)
I love your desktop background! I often see people with the calandars such as yours shows, what is that… like a program you can download? I like how you can have a to-do list. It’s exactly something I need. lol.
Hey! Thanks. Wonder if this will show up?
I love dum-dums! Those are my favorite lollipops.. but I probably couldn’t sit there and eat them all. I need to decorate for Christmas too. I’m a little behind.
I vaguely recall the name Dum-Dums but I don’t really remember what they look like or taste like lol. I must look them up I suppose! Give me something to do while bored later tonight haha. I love December. Sometimes. Other times I hate it. Living in Canada can suck in December… like last night for example. Huge snow storm… then freezing rain storm… then just rain. Everywhere ice! I think I fell down like 8 times today :P The buses were cancelled in my region but I still had to go to University (which was open :P). I paid 15.00 for a cab and then another 5.05 for the bus! Lol. Ah… December xD
You have been tagged! :)
December came really fast, didn’t it? It’s scary. Man I ate so many dum dums throughout the course of my life. They’re awesome.
