Santa needs a raincoat

I can’t believe that it’s nearly 60 degrees out and we’re having a bad thunderstorm right now…it’s practically the end of December for heavens sake! It should be snowing or something! Damn that Global Warming that Al Gore keeps carrying on about. It’s really been screwing everything up. So, while the wind continues to howl outside (and hopefully not take off our roof) I will attempt to continue blogging…
As it is right now, I can’t wait for Christmas. I’m ready for it to be over and done with for this year. I’m not trying to seem like a total Grinch, but I’m getting tired of having all things Christmas thrown in my face every time I turn around. If it’s not television commercials advertising anything and everything under the sun as “the perfect gift for anyone!”, then the same Christmas madness is going on at ANY public place you dare to step foot into. The only thing I’m looking forward to on Christmas is seeing my little boy’s eyes light up on Christmas morning as he tears into his presents, and to sit down as a family and enjoy breakfast together. I’m totally over everything else already.
Also, I have FOUR DAYS IN A ROW off from work, how suh-weet is that? I’ll definitely be catching up on some much needed rest. Last year around Christmas, we made the mistake of trying to get out and visit every single relative of ours in one weekend. Needless to say, it was a horrible idea - by the end of it, all of us were tired and cranky…not how I wanted to spend the holidays. So, this year will be different. We’ve tried to make plans in advance in order to prevent situations like that from happening this year. Keeping it simple and stress-free…that’s how I roll. :D

Aw, your Christmas sounds awesome. And yes, ALWAYS go for calm + relaxing rather than out + about. LOL Or something to that effect.
I’m also looking forward to Christmas but I so do not want for it to be over! Winter time and Christmas is my favorite time of the year, I hate the summer and the heat and everything that comes with it. For all I care, it could be Christmas ALL YEAR LONG.
We’re probably not going to have snow over Christmas here either, though. It’s been freezing the last couple of days but dry - so, NO SNOW. And today it’s actually above freezing point again so, again - NO SNOW. We usually keep our Christmas tree outside from the time we bought it until the day before Christmas Eve so it can relax and whatnot (see, it really is what it’s all about!) but it rained last night and now I’m just wondering how we’re going to get it in the house, all wet and sad and stuff. LOL I guess you’ll here about it in my blog. LOL
Have a very wonderful Christmas, hun!
it was 78 degrees at my house last week. WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THAT?
It rained like crazy here earlier, pretty much all day but now it’s colder than cold (below freezing) and snowing so alllllll that rain is going to turn to ice. AGH NO! Christmas can be a very enjoyable time but it’s too much after you’ve been dealing with it day after day.
