Another milestone

Wow, March 1st already? It feels like 2008 is just going by in the blink of an eye. Pretty soon Spring will be here, which I am SO ready for. I’m sick and tired of this shitty cold weather, and it’s time to see some greenery return!
One thing I’m NOT particularly ready for, however, is the fact that school registration is coming up in a couple of weeks. It didn’t dawn on me until earlier this evening just how much time has slipped up on me. My sister-in-law got a flyer in the mail today about pre-school registration coming up on March 28th. MARCH 28TH???!!! That’s no time at all from now! I still thought I had all the time in the world to worry about that, like it was some distant event that we didn’t even have start *thinking* about right now. I’ll admit, I got teary eyed when she showed me the flyer. Something I never thought I would do. I mean yeah, your child’s first day of school is emotional for almost every parent I’ve ever known, but I’m on the verge of crying and he’s not even been registered yet! There must be something wrong with me, I never thought I’d be this torn up over Dylan starting pre-school, of all things. I know pre-school isn’t required, and I could very well hold him off for another year. But, I think it’s very important and vital for him to be around other children his age, and get introduced into a school-like environment before it becomes mandatory.
Still, though, I was amazed at how emotional I got just at the thought of it. Just imagine how I’ll be on registration day. On his first real day of school, even. I’ll be one big pile of emotional, teary-eyed goo - something I NEVER in a million years thought I’d be. I’ll try to stay strong, but I make no guarantees! :P I guess we’ll find out when the day comes, which I need to remember isn’t as far off as I thought.

I like this time going by fast deal, we can jump to August and I’ll be happier than a pig in poo. Aww, he’s growing up so fast. I’d be emotional about sending him off to school too.
It’s actually kind of frightening how fast time is flying by. I don’t have kids of my own but I’m sure I will be the same way. I cry for just about anything, lol. So I will be bawling like a big old baby whenever my kid is ready to go start school.
The last four years have just zipped on by for me! And oh boy, preschool. It’s a little late to enroll Alyssa for the remainder of the year, but I definitely want to get her in for fall 2008. I get choked up just thinking about it, even though it’s exciting at the same time. :)
This year is definitely flying by. But for me, I’m just excited for spring/summer and turning 21 in July.
I’ve always thought that my kid starting school would be a most emotional experience, even though I don’t have any yet. Just think though, he’s getting so big! =)
Walmart can annoy me so fast too. Inconsiderate people drive me insane. And it sucks to know i’ve leveled myself to that degree…just so i wont be SOO annoyed with the rest of them. And so ill feel a little justified.
Happy March! This year is deffinately flying by for me this year, but now that I’m expectinga babyit seems to eb dragging by. I say bring on the summer!
Well you might as well go ahead and get it out before you have to go register him!
Then you’ll smile, I mean, just think about all of the fun, new things he will get to experience in pre-school. He will have fun, and it will definitely be good for him.
I’m so ready for Spring to approach! I can smell it in the air…Can’t you?

This year really is going so fast. It’s insane… and scary. I think Dylan starting preschool is exciting but I can understand how hard it will be for you. I can’t even imagine!!! Hopefully the summer doesn’t go as fast and you can still enjoy the time you have together doing fun summery things.
