It’s official

It’s officially May 1st, and I should be in bed. Instead, I feel like blogging and pointlessly rambling on about my plans for tomorrow…er…today.

I report for jury duty at 9 a.m. Some of you may remember me bitching about it in a post I made a few weeks ago. I can only hope it goes smoothly, and that I don’t get a call back to go again. Yes, I realize I’m supposed to be compliant and willing to serve my civic duty, but instead I choose to be a baby about it and moan and groan just a little. I have the right, dammit!

The good thing about it is that I’m getting out of work, and am being compensated a whole $12.50 for the trouble. Did I mention that I’m driving my mom’s SUV? Yeah…there goes my $12.50 down the drain. And by drain I mean gas tank. Ha! When the economy is in the toilet, you gotta make a funny every now and then to make the future seem a little… less shitty.

Well, that about wraps up my bitching. I want nothing more now than to crawl into bed next to my peacefully sleeping husband and stick my ice cold feet into all of his warm crevices. :)
