The FEDS may be watching

11:16 pm · Posted in General

It’s the end of yet another long day and I’m excited to be able to finally sit down and attempt to string some thoughts together. When I say excited, I really mean I’m doing a little dance in my mind. I don’t think my body would allow such a thing at this hour. Anyhoo, I’ve had one irritatingly busy week, my friends. I’ve either been at work during the day, or I’ve been in court. Neither one is more desirable than the other.

On Tuesday I served as a juror along with thirteen other unlucky bastards on a civil case involving a man that was in an automobile accident three years ago. Wait, did I just say three years? Yes, I think I did. We sat there for six hours listening to lawyers from each side ramble on about who deserves what and how much money this guy deserves. It was the most boring experience of my life.

I’m not sure what else I can say publicly about this type of thing, so I’ll shut up. I don’t know what I’m afraid of really, like an army of the greatest F.B.I. agents from across the country are waiting for me to click ‘Publish’ before they launch tear gas and hand grenades through my living room windows… THAT WOULD BE INSANELY AWESOME.

And blah blah blah, binky bunky boo… I think it’s almost time for bed.

Sounds very boring indeed. Hopefully you won’t have to go through that again any time soon.

I’m sorry you had to sit through that. Three years?! I knew the court system was slow, but I didn’t think it was that bad!

Well I can’t say I envy that experience. Makes me wonder how many people have ‘injuries’ from accidents and get money for them then are suddenly cured. I’m just getting ready to go to work for another long day so my mind isn’t being very positive at the moment. I hope you get some rest next week!!

I pray to God I am never called for jury duty, because from what I have heard (your story now included!), it is the most boring thing, ever. Ugh.
