Tell your mom she’s pretty and she’ll do things for you

A conversation…

Dylan: Mama, you pretty.
Me: *melts* Aw…you think Mama’s pretty?
Dylan: Yep.
{big hugs all around}
Me: That’s so sweet!
Dylan: I want to eat sumpin.
Me: Is that why you told me I’m pretty? Because you want me to fix you something to eat?
Dylan: Yep.
Me: Ha! Well, at least you’re honest.

There’s no doubt that he picked up on these tactics from his father. Though I guess it’s never to early to learn that a few compliments and a little ass kissing is a surefire way to get what you want, right? God bless ‘em. I love them to death. And I fall under the spell of their manipulative powers every time. However, I DO let them do it, so I guess I’m just as manipulative. :D How does that old adage go? A family that plots together…gets what they want in return? Er…something like that.

Three days ago, I was tagged for a lovely meme by Whitney. Due to my excessive laziness this week, I’m just now getting around to it.

• My middle name is Dyan, inspired by the actress Dyan Cannon. My mom really liked how she spelled her name.
• I have a big scar on my knee from when I fell of my bike and skidded down the gravel driveway at age ten.
• I stabbed myself in the thumb with a knife a couple of days ago. It sucked.
• I love sour candy. My favorite being a tie between Sour Patch Kids and sour Starburst.
• Zombies terrify me to the point of vivid, recurring nightmares.
• I’d like to lose about 40 lbs, but am pretty positive it’s not going to happen any time soon.
• Lolcats amuse me to no end.
• I’m currently drinking Pepsi, even though I’m a Coke fan all the way. I’m only drinking it because it’s all that Pizza Hut had, and well, sometimes you just gotta take what you can get.
• Rob & Big is mine and Josh’s favorite show. And it’s on MTV. That’s saying a lot.
• I like cheese.
